‘I go for refuge in the Guru.’
Sangye la kyab su chi o

‘I go for refuge in the Sangha.’
Lama = Guru
Sangye = Buddha
Chö = Dharma
Gendün = Sangha (also spelled gedün)
La = in, at, to
Kyab su ‘for refuge’
Kyab = refuge
Su = in, at, to
Chi = to go [honorific form of dro]
