SCDG is now open for in-person meditation. Online discussion will continue.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO EXPENSES
SCDG is thankful that so many ordained Sangha like Geshe Topgyal, Ven. Chonyi, Geshe Tsultim, and others have come to offer us teachings. We hope to be able to continue to make these wonderful teachings available in the Midlands. However, we are able to do that only through the generosity of those who contribute time, energy, money, and service. As we know, generosity most of all benefits those who give, but it also makes the Dharma Center and the visits from teachers possible.
The Buddha’s Dharma is always given freely, but we ask you to think about what that teaching means to you. Ask yourself: What value have I gained from the Buddha's teachings? Would I like to make that available to others? If so, from my heart, what would I like to offer to bring greater love, compassion, and wisdom into my own life and into the world?
We know that not everyone has the same ability to contribute, but we hope that you’ll make a contribution of an amount from $5 to $20 per session or $20-$100 for the entire week. If you can, send a check with the registration, but you may also give this to one of us (Joe Donahoe, John Valentine, Nancy Kreml) at any of the sessions. We will also be able to take credit cards.
If you can’t contribute financially but want to contribute with food, transportation, or other services--or if you want to contribute money and services--see a member of the board (Joe Donahoe, Claudia Brinson, Carolyn Cox, John Valentine, Nancy Kreml, Rose Dean, Lisa Charles). And if you want to come but can’t donate at all right now, you are still welcome to attend.
DANA
Dana is a special gift of appreciation to the teacher. We will have a Dana basket available at the teachings, and you may leave Dana there to go directly to the teacher.
