A Guide to Daily Meditation Practice

Geshe Dakpa Topgyal

The elements for a productive and healthy meditation practice include creating a proper physical environment, the seven-point physical posture, the preliminary prayers, meditation techniques, the concluding mantras and a good teacher.
The Meditation Guide presented here is created and read by the Ven. Geshe Dakpa Topgyal. The prayers and mantras are presented in both transliterated Tibetan and English. In practice you would recite one or the other.
You may listen to Geshe-la's recitation of these and his description of their significance and meaning in RealAudio by clicking on the links provided at each stage. For additional information, you may read a description of each section written by Geshe-la by clicking on the "Text Version" link.
Finally, you may click here to download a MS Word version of the entire presentation formatted for printing. For a free CD of this talk contact us through the information provided on our About This Site page.
You will need a sound card, speakers and RealAudio player to hear the recordings of Gesha-la.
